The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NigComSat) says it will
revolutionise government operations by guaranteeing a reliable and
secure communication infrastructure.
The NigComSat Manager, External Relations, Mrs Asmau Galadanchi, made
the assertion on Friday, while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) in Abuja.
“NigComSat-IR will revolutionise the way government of a country
operates by guaranteeing a reliable and secure communication
infrastructure needed toward effectiveness and efficiency,“ she said.
According to her, government ministries can communicate and make
decisions with a click of a button leading to a more streamlined, more
transparent and more progressive government.
She said that contractors could also review and bid for government jobs from around the world easily.
She said that the NigComSat Direct to Home (DTH) Facility Operated by
Platinum Plus TV (PPTV) provided broadcast operators with
infrastructure needed to deliver audio, video and other media to compete
in an increasingly diverse DTH market place.
“With continuous innovations seen in media delivery, our solutions
will provide broadcast operators the tools to incorporation larger
channel line-ups.
“Also, interactive services, high-definition programming and the introduction of hybrid multi-network delivery,“ she added.
